This is another unique record made in Moscow. It's called "Song about Robin Hood". I do not know who is the other man in the video, but I think is somebody from the theater "Taganka". Does anybody knows who is he? Enjoy!

Here is another very good video by Volodia with friends, around the table. He is singing one of his joke songs in Peredelkino, 1975. The recording was done by the East German TV WDR.

I posted the same song back on March 19, but this one is really unique. The record claims that it is the last live performance of Vladimir Visotskiy in April 1980. It is really amazing video and he is as always - magnificent! Enjoy it!

This song is Visotsky's view on war. A submarine surrounded by underwater mines unable to surface, unable to get air and all of its crew bagging for someone to save them from suffocation. He is a gibbous to show his view on war through such a story.

I don't know what is this video about. It says it was recorder in "Kalininskaya oblast" during the spring of 1981. This is almost an year after Visotskiy passed away, but hi is singing in background one of his not so popular songs. There is also a name written at the end of the video - Artur Makarov. If somebody have more information about this video or about Artur, please, let me know.

I had no time yesterday to update the blog, but this week I am going to post two new videos. This is one of my favorite combat songs (air combat) - "Ih vosyem, nas dvoe" ("They are eight, we are just two"). The video is not about Vysotskiy itself, but very nice illustration of what is the song about.

This type of record (I should say performing, because very few of them have been recorded), are something that might worth even more than a big concert. It is somebody's home, with friends, around the table and with plenty of Vodka. Enjoy it!
